Overachiever

Livi went to the doctor last week for her 2 month well-baby visit. She began life at 7lbs. 1oz, 25th percentile for weight. She is now 12lbs. 1oz, in the 75th percentile. Didn't we say the girl likes to eat? Definitely not being content with low average scores, she has also made great gains in length. She is now 24.75 inches long, putting her in the 95th percentile and pushing the boundries of her genetic potential.

To go along with her "big girl" status, she is also working hard on reaching developmental skills. She has a wonderful range of fun facial expressions. She is consistently "talking" and is voicing several distinct sounds. She holds her head up and tracks mom's voice around the room. Even in the womb, Livia was a wiggly baby. She continues to enjoy wiggling as one of her favorite activities. During tummy time, she has developed an interesting yoga-like pose: face mashed into the mat, back straight, stiff-legged, she hoists her butt into the air, and raises her toes. After holding this pose briefly, her strong legs force her little face forward until she belly flops back onto the mat. Very inchworm-esque. Vert cute. That's our little overachiever!
